Setting up your fundraising page is a breeze!

Write-A-Thon Fundraising Page directions

  1. Go to

  2. In the center of the page, press the button that says “Join This Team”

  3. You’ll be given the option to start a fundraising page using LSP’s template or creating one for yourself. We suggest you use the template (we’ve done the legwork for you!) and personalize it to your taste.

  4. Link your fundraiser to Facebook when prompted to do so OR click the link that begins with “Nope” at the bottom of that page.

  5. Once you’ve landed on your homepage, find the bar on the left side of the screen and press the pencil icon. The Page Editor will open with the elements of the page you can personalize. Just click the word corresponding to the field you want to change.

  6. Press “Goal,” enter the amount of pledged donations you hope to raise ahead of the Write-A-Thon, and then press “Save.” (Participants must raise at least $100 to attend the event, but aim higher! You may be surprised by how much your friends and family want to support your writing project.) NOTE: You will not see your goal on the page until you complete Step #8 below.

  7. Personalize the other elements of your fundraising page (Title, Short Story, Image/Video, Description) any way you see fit. (If you wish, you can skip this step for now and edit it later.)

  8. When you’re satisfied with your page, press the teal-colored rocket ship icon (the last icon on the left side of your screen, below the gear icon), and you’ve published your page!

  9. Now you can direct people to your fundraising page.
