LSP Produces "Track Changes" Podcast with Louisville Public Media
In 2021, the Louisville Story Program produced four radio stories with underrepresented workers from the thoroughbred racing community, such as the son of a legendary groom who saved up enough money as a TARC bus driver to buy and train a horse who went on to win three races at Churchill Downs, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Retired Black jockey Sam Alexander is the host for these stories, which serve as companion pieces to our book Better Lucky Than Good. The stories aired on WFPL during 2021 Derby week and longer versions of the stories are available as a podcast.
